I have to be honest, I have three of the Margaritaville Margarita machines, including this one – the Tahiti. It’s a really unique setup as you can make three pitchers at once, well sort of. The reality is that you setup each pitcher, load the machine with ice then hit start. It rotate the ice chute to the first pitcher, shave ice, then blend. The ice chute the moves to the second pitcher and goes through the same routine. Then finally it goes to the third pitcher and finishes the production cycle.
So what happens if you only need two pitcher or maybe even just one (sadly). You simply turn the control knob for the selected pitcher to off and the machine skips it. You can also manually shave ice and blend for each pitcher.
Perhaps the hardest part is deciding what concoctions you want to make. One favorite combination of mine is a standard margarita in pitcher #1, a strawberry margaritas in pitcher #2 and a mango margarita in pitcher #3.
We have also done non-margarita drinks such as toasted almonds, daiquiris and pina coladas. Lots of versatility with this unit. A bit pricey, but after you drink a couple of pitchers you won’t care.
